SkillSphere makes its debut in Bucharest with an event dedicated to youth inclusion.
On June 16, 2025, Ateliere Fără Frontiere, the lead partner of the SkillSphere project, organized a public conference at the FNT Youth Center in Bucharest to officially present the project to local stakeholders and initiate a shared discussion on the situation of NEET youth in Romania, Italy, and Bulgaria.
First public moment for SkillSphere
The event marked one of the first public moments of the SkillSphere initiative and was entirely dedicated to raising awareness about the realities faced by young people who are not working, studying, or undergoing training. Through presentations, open discussions, and direct testimonials, the conference created a space for dialogue among project partners, youth workers, public institutions, educators, and representatives from social enterprises.
Participants analyzed the root causes of NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) exclusion and reflected on the role that education, mentoring, and active employment policies can play in providing new perspectives for these young people.
The SkillSphere approach – combining skills training, collaboration with local communities, and practical experiences in the workforce – was presented as a concrete and inclusive response, designed to enhance NEET youth and promote their sustainable integration into society.
The conference concluded with a collective commitment to support the local implementation of SkillSphere and to continue the dialogue between sectors and countries, with the shared goal of building stronger and more inclusive communities for the new generations in Europe.
